Class sizes are kept in line with Ofsted regulations in order to ensure EVERY child receives the focus and individual nurturing they require.

All teachers are regularly DBS checked and First Aid trained for complete peace of mind.

Swish Theatre School (Swish/Us/We/Our) – Terms and Conditions

This agreement sets out the terms governing the relationship between you and Us. By enrolling your child with Swish Theatre School, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions at all times.

We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you in writing at the email specified by you. Proof of sending shall constitute sufficient evidence of receipt. You may cancel this agreement in accordance with the Termination section below.

Taster Course

All new students are entitled to attend a Taster Course for two consecutive weeks before joining. The cost of this varies according to the activity and/or the student’s age and must be paid in advance. All such payments are strictly non-refundable.

Classes

Class timetables, content, and teachers are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Our teachers reserve the right to ask any student to leave a class immediately if their behaviour jeopardises the safety, wellbeing, or enjoyment of other students, or interferes with their learning experience. You are responsible for ensuring that your child follows all instructions given by teachers.

All children attending a drop off class must be fully toilet trained before attending our classes.

Camps & Workshops

All bookings for extra-curricular or out-of-term activities must be paid for in full prior to the start of the event. All such payments are strictly non-refundable.

Registration, Collection and Attendance

We are responsible for your child only during the scheduled times of their booked class, workshop, or event. We cannot accept responsibility for any child before their class start time, or after their class end time. Parents/guardians must ensure children are dropped off and collected promptly at the designated area.

If you wish for your child to leave unaccompanied, you must notify us in writing in advance by emailing info@swish.school. Persistent late collection may result in a penalty charge and/or the loss of your child’s place at Swish Theatre School.

Parents/guardians are not permitted to observe classes except during official presentations, showcases, or performances. 

Please arrive a few minutes before the scheduled start time to avoid disruption. If your child is unable to attend a class for any reason, you must notify us as soon as possible.

Illness, Medical Emergencies and Health & Safety

For the wellbeing of all students and staff, any child who is unwell should not attend Swish classes or events. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any child who appears unwell or poses a risk to others’ health.

If your child becomes ill or is involved in an accident during their time with Us, we will contact you immediately using the emergency contact details provided. In the unlikely event that you cannot be reached in an emergency, you authorise Swish Theatre School to act in loco parentis and consent to emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all emergency contact details and medical notes held by us are kept accurate and up to date. You must remain contactable while your child is under our care.

Food and Break Times

Food and drink must not be consumed during classes but all children have a break during the session where they can bring a drink and small snack. 

For longer workshops or camps, please ensure your child brings what they may need, clearly labelled with their name. Swish Theatre School does not refrigerate packed lunches and accepts no responsibility for the freshness or storage of food items. We recommend using cool bags or ice packs as needed.

For the benefit of all students, please avoid bringing products containing nuts into the school premises. 

Children are supervised during designated break and meal times.

Personal Belongings

We strongly advise that children do not bring valuable or unnecessary personal belongings to Swish Theatre School. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for loss of, or damage to, clothing, jewellery, toys, electronic devices or any other personal items brought to our classes, camps or events. Please ensure that all clothing and personal items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Payment

Payment for all Swish fees is due by automated debit on the 1st of each month. Class fees are payable in 12 equal monthly instalments from September to August. Our current class prices are published on our website.

You agree to ensure that there are sufficient funds in your account to cover your payments. In the event of any late payment:

• A fixed late payment fee of £20 will be charged on any payment which remains outstanding more than 7 days after its due date.
• Interest will be charged on all overdue sums at the rate of 3% per annum above the base lending rate of RBS Bank plc, calculated daily; and

We reserve the right to suspend your child’s attendance until all overdue fees, interest, and late payment charges have been paid in full.

We may increase prices once annually and will endeavour to give you at least one month’s written notice before any price increase takes effect.

Promotion

We may use individual or group photographs, video recordings, or other images of your child for press, marketing, or promotional purposes, including on social media. If you do not wish for your child to appear in such publicity, you must inform us during the registration process.. All intellectual property rights in such materials remain the sole property of Swish.

Behaviour

Bullying, harassment, abuse, or any other inappropriate behaviour by you or your child, whether towards staff or other students, is strictly prohibited. Any such behaviour will result in immediate expulsion from Swish Theatre School, and we reserve the right to take further action where appropriate. No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.

Cancellation of Sessions

In exceptional circumstances, Swish Theatre School may need to cancel a class, workshop, or event due to reasons beyond our control (such as severe weather, school closure, fire, flood, or public health emergencies). In such cases, we will endeavour to offer alternative arrangements where possible, but no refunds or compensation will be provided for cancellations resulting from events outside our reasonable control.  We will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible in such circumstances.

Term and Termination

You may terminate your child’s enrolment, by giving us at least one full calendar month’s notice by email to info@swish.school. Notice shall be effective from the date on which we acknowledge receipt of your notice in writing. No refunds will be given for partial months. For terminations at the end of the academic year (July), the August instalment remains payable in full.

If you are dissatisfied with the tuition provided, please contact us immediately and allow us a reasonable opportunity to rectify any issues. You may terminate this agreement at any time if, on more than one occasion, the tuition falls below the standards of reasonable skill and care normally expected for such services.

Your Information

Your personal data will be used only for the purposes of providing tuition, processing payments, and informing you of our similar products or services. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting Us. We will not share your personal data with any third party without your consent.

Other Terms

• This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.
  
  
• We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation. You will be notified in writing if this occurs.
  
  
• This agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Why we process personal data

We process personal data from customers who enquire about or subscribe to our companies in order to ensure customers get the best possible service from our team and to ensure that you are kept up to date with future products which might be of an legitimate interest.

We retain personal data for the period required for processing, and where we are under an obligation to do so, for example billing data is retained in accordance with anti-money laundering and financial records keeping requirements.

Website and data collection

Web Chat

We may use online chat services to assist your use of our websites. These services may be provided by third party organisations acting as data processors on behalf of Swish. Where we receive personal data from you during the course of chats, we do not append it to records about you, and will process that personal data in accordance with our privacy notice.

Analytics

Our web servers may collect the domain names of visitors to our site. This information may be combined with information related to other users to measure the number of visits, average time spent on the site pages viewed, and so forth. This information may identify you. Swish may use this information for a variety of purposes, including to measure the use of our site, to improve our marketing and to improve the content we offer.

Emails

To receive up to date information and promotions, you will need to subscribe to our e-newsletters. This is accessible via our website and upon initial enquiry and/or enrolment.

Payments

If you make payment over the telephone, no credit card details are kept by our company.  They are used by our representative at the time and entered manually into a secure banking platform encrypted using SSL (“Secure Sockets Layer”). SSL is an industry-standard protocol for encryption over the internet. This helps to protect your personal data from being read by anyone else.

As with any standard email, emails containing your personal data sent to or from us will not be encrypted.
